JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports To:

The Lead Engineer will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer. You will also report to the Program Manager in terms of project deliverables.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Guide the junior engineers on carrying out various tasks efficiently.
• Be involved in recruiting engineers as well as providing them essential training.
• Plan the design, implementation, deployment and testing of various projects.
• Monitor the performance and issues with existing systems and fix problems when necessary.
• You may required to meet the clients and understand their requirements.
• Work with project managers to manage a project timelines and capacity planning.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Qualifications & Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years experience as a Software Engineer or Software Manager.
• Able to adapt in fast-paced environment and ever-evolving requirements.
• Knowledgeable in cloud technology such as AWS, Google Cloud will have an added advantage.
• Having worked with local cloud provider solutions is a plus.
• Having worked with any one or more of the following technologies in a project is an added advantage:

i) Big Data

ii) GIS

iii) Cloud Migration

iv) Blockchain

v) Satellite Imagery

vi) Renewable Energy

vii) Payment Gateway

viii) Cryptography

• Pleasant personality and positive attitude.
• Able to work extra hours when needed to ensure successful project delivery.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally as and when required.
• Able to converse well in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
