JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for undertaking the day to day work in the Metrology Lab in accordance with approved Metrology Test Instructions.

• Maintain general cleanliness and ensure that laboratory temperature and humidity are in control at all times.
• Undretake and verified Measurement & Monitoring Equipment (MME) calibarations and part measurement, using CMM or otherwise, for which he/she is authorized as per Metrology Lab and CMM Test Instructions.
• Write Test Report and trained new employee to calibrate the MME.
• Ensure all MME that already calibrated attached with the Calibration Sticker with correct information.
• Ensure to segregate the MME awaiting calibration and MME after calibrated in the appropriate locations.
• Ensure all label and Calabration Sticker is adequately stocked.
• Maintain and updated a calibration  record for each MME.
• Assist Deputy Technical Manager in arranging calibration of MME which cannot be done by the Metrology Lab for outside calibration.
• Ensure that the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) is well maintained.
• Maintaining Recall System and issuing Calibration Recall Memo to all end user every week.
• Issue MME Master for each and user every month.
• Assist Snr Supervisor to conduct I.R.B meeting.
• Segregate faulty MME after LRB meeting and sent to Store for further action.
• To perform other related duties assisgned by the Quality/ Deputy Quality Manager and Technical Manager from time to time.
• To undertake routine asset care for CMM as stated in QA/CMM/05.
• To qualify a probing system by using PC-DMIS and Calypso for CMM machine.
• Set up and operates CMM in order to make precise measurements of materials and parts by using inspection sheet.
• Understand requirement stated in process sheet for CMM inspection.
• Reads and interprets specifications, drawing and inspection sheet for product tolerances and dimensions for CMM inspection.
• To undertake interim check for CMM machine.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Minimum SPM or any related discipline.
• Fresh or 1 years experience.
• NIL/ computer literate advantage.
• Good attitude, willing to learn and able to communicate with all level of staffs.
