JOB DESCRIPTION

Software engineer develops, troubleshoots, and solves production application /software issues. This engineer also ensures appropriate, accurate, up-to-date technical documentation is available for systems and logic and able to make decisions to ensure continuous production to meet both output and quality requirement. Experience in business intelligence, analytics, data science and data products is an add. The software engineer can work in an agile environment, independently work individually or in groups in various countries.

• Full Lifecycle application development.
• Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages.
• Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis.
• Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD).
• Software simulation.
• Front end and graphical user interface design.
• Automation, performance tuning and improvement.
• Support maintain and document software functionality.
• Software integration with existing systems.
• Evaluate and identify new method and technology to be implemented to existing systems.
• Project Planning.
• Maintain standard and compliance.
• Implement globalization of software if involving two or more site.
• Key participant in the development of end-user tools for data analysis, reporting and workflow processes with database communication.
• Collaborate on analyzing the existing software and improving the processes.
• Organize the Design and Test Lab departments on requirements of new functionality.
• Key participant in integration of in-house software for our test equipment.
• Taking part in on-site software debugging, machines further adaptation and optimization.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• BS/MS degree or above, majoring in computer science, computer engineering, or its equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of programming language and operating system such as in building core C++ /C# (e.g console, Win32 API and MFC) and Beckhoff application. Experience with database environment (preferable SQL), OO design and development.
• Knowledgeable about web-based architectures and technologies (.NET FRAMEWORK) is an advantage.
• Ability to solve technical (Software) problems with analytical mind and provide solutions.
• Possess good interpersonal / communication skills and able to interface at international/oversea levels with good English language ability in reading and writing.
• Ability to quickly ramp up on the new or latest technologies.
• Knowledge and experience in Factory Automation industry an advantage.
• Robotic program knowledge is an advantage.
• Ability work under pressure, creative in solving complex technical (software) problems with analytical mind and provide appropriate and accurate solutions.
• Motivated self-starter, strong team player that able to work independently as well as in a group to complete the assigned project within given deadlines.
• Willing to travel and support in odd hours request.
• Possess good interpersonal / communication skills and able to interface at international/oversea levels with good English language ability in reading and writing.
