JOB DESCRIPTION

  • To execute key activities and tasks identified within the Halal Home-grown Champion programs and related initiatives (i.e. internationalization of the Malaysian companies involving in Halal promoted sectors and; strategic partnerships with multi-national companies (MNCs).
  • To manage specific projects or initiatives as identified within the department, division or organization.
  • Specific duties – as project manager for the Halal Sourcing Partnership Program, developmental projects and related initiatives. Provide basic advisory to companies seeking information about Halal.  Contribute to enhance overall project’s execution processes, delivery, impact etc. perform company engagement, analysis and profiling based on their business development strategies.  Contact and discuss with MNCs to identify possible areas of collaboration that can benefit the industry.
  • Specific project – manage overall planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the online business facilitation services (i.e. eReHal and eReMark) project, Halal Success Stories and; scheduled round table dialogue with the industry players e.g MNCs/ SMEs.
  • Develop a detailed project plan – i.e. scope, objectives, activities, timeline, resources etc. to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Manage and coordinate internal resources (i.e. team members, cross-functional team members etc.) and; external key stakeholders in planning and executing projects.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification processes and risk management analysis to minimize project risks.
  • Monitor and measure project’s progress and performance using appropriate tools and techniques.  Report and escalate to management key issues or achievements as needed.
  • Successfully manage the relationship with the clients (e.g. SMEs) and key stakeholders (e.g. Ministries, agencies etc.) and establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors (e.g. service providers, trainers etc.)
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, databases etc.
  • Oversee daily activities of team and provide assistance as and when required.
  • ndertake duties as directed / requested by the program manager to support the delivery and implementation of projects (e.g. coordination of activities, purchases, logistic etc.)
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Undertake any other duties as appropriate and within the post holders capabilities.


JOB REQUIREMENT

  • Diploma or Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Economics, Sales and Marketing, Food Technology or related field (business, science or engineering)
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience related to program or project design and management, ideally in the large local companies (LLCs), multi-national companies (MNCs) especially in areas related to product development, branding, government liasons etc.
  • Project management.
  • Business engagement (interpersonal) & writing skills.
  • Industry knowledge, research & analysis capabilities.
  • Communication and stakeholders management skills.
  • Knowledge of the relevant SME development policies, challenges and initiatives (added advantage)
