Responsible for closure of all supplier quality related issues, drive for root-cause analysis, initiate and validate corrective/preventive actions.
Establish and communicate Supplier’s quality performance goals, manage progress plan for low-performance suppliers in collaboration with Purchasing.
Review Supplier’s manufacturing processes, collaborate with Suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities.
Carry out and monitor in-process quality improvement at Supplier.
Lead technical review meeting with Supplier to ensure manufacturing feasibility and capability.
Assist Supplier to develop tooling, jig and gauge for inspection and manufacturing process.
Support Supplier to establish Quality System as and when needed.
Conduct Supplier visit and perform audit for existing and potential suppliers to ensure Supplier’s quality system is compliant to all applicable standards.
Assist in New Supplier Qualification to access Supplier’s capability with regards to new product development.
Coordinate First Article Inspection activities, control and improve the First Article Quality to achieve 100% pass rate.
Assist Supplier to develop and align the inspection method for critical items in operation and FAI.
Support internal customers when there is a dispute in quality related to Supplier.
JOB REQUIREMENT
Minimum Engineering/Science Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Machining-related field with 3 years working experience in a similar industry.
Good knowledge in 8D approach.
Good knowledge in supplier qualification, development and auditing.
Good knowledge in quality management system.
Capable to read and interpret engineering drawings (Mechanical/Electrical) with good knowledge in GD&T and GR&R.
Knowledge in standard measurement equipment ie calipers and micrometer is compulsory.
Knowledge in CMM, profile projector, measuring scope is an advantage.
Understand critical Back End Semiconductor processes & equipment.
Understand critical quality requirements of our products.
Knowledge in parts and tooling fabrication processes as well as mechanical and electrical assembly processes.
